From 27th to 29th March, we will be running a RYA Powerboat Level 2 course at Attenborough Sailing Club. This nationally recognised qualification is ideal for anyone looking to gain the practical skills and confidence to operate a powerboat safely in sheltered waters, whether for leisure boating, safety boat duties, event cover, or as part of professional development.
Delivered to the standards of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), this two-day course split over three days is hands-on and practical, with a strong focus on time afloat and real-world boat handling experience.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to handle a powerboat confidently and responsibly in sheltered water conditions.
This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some informal boating experience who want a recognised qualification. It’s particularly useful for sailing club volunteers, watersports instructors, rescue boat crew, and anyone supporting on-water activities.
