Code of conduct
Code of conduct
As someone volunteering for Colwick Park Lifeguards (CPL), you are representing the organisation and should uphold the standards of our Code of Conduct for CPL. This means that whenever you volunteer with us, you always have the support of the organisation. This importantly also means that, at all times you volunteer, you are representing a charity which is one of the UK’s most recognised and respected open water safety providers.
You are supporting CPL charitable aims by helping to ensure that we provide the best water safety service possible, or by raising funds and/or awareness on behalf of the charity. For this we would like to say thank you. We really do appreciate your support.
As an CPL volunteer we expect you to follow the guidance provided in your pre-event training and briefings to ensure you represent CPL responsibly and ensure the safety of yourself and others. Any behaviour, including online activity, which are deemed to breach this agreement could result in your removal from an event site and the termination of your volunteer role.
Please note: As an Event Water Safety Volunteer, you will be required to hold a current lifeguarding/ power boat qualification (National Poole Lifeguard Qualification / Open Water Lifeguard Qualification/ PB2, SB). For fundraising, welfare, and support roles these qualifications may not be necessary.
